Download and Installation of Acrobat Reader®

How to view PDF-files

Our Journal's pages are available as „Portable Document Format“ (PDF), like many other documents in the web. To view and print these files on Your computer, You need Adobe's program Acrobat Reader®. This page shows You how and where to download this freely available software.

(The images in this article are taken from a download procedure on a computer using the Microsoft Windows 98™ operating system with the MS Internet Explorer.
We are well aware that this is not the only operating system and browser on the market, but as a great majority of users have a similar software installation at present, we chose to use it for this overview.
Depending on Your operating system and browser, You may find some differences, of course.

We also hope to be able to provide You with english screenshots in the future; for the moment, please try to cope with the german ones.

Step 1:

Screenshot 1Open the Acrobat®-page » of Adobe Systems®. There, click the golden button (right below) which says "Get Acrobat Reader".

Choose Your computer's operating system and Your desired language:

Step 4:

Your browser's file download dialog opens. Choose an option that says something like "Save to Disk":

Step 5:

Choose Your download folder. Your best choice may be Your desktop. Then click "Save".

Step 6:

The download starts, and it may take a few minutes, depending on the quality of Your internet connection. When finished, double click the downloaded file and install the program as any other standard software.
